Patrick Denney is a highly accomplished commercial real estate executive, developer, and entrepreneur with extensive experience across hospitality, retail, office, industrial, and medical sectors. As Managing Principal and Co-Founder of Galactic Hospitality Group, LLC, along with leadership roles in DCS Alabama Development, LLC and Alabama Indoor Pickleball, LLC, Patrick has built a reputation for delivering complex, high-value development projects and strategic real estate solutions.

Patrick’s expertise spans the full spectrum of commercial real estate, with a strong emphasis on ground-up development, build-to-suit projects, master-planned developments, and large-scale site selection initiatives. He is also highly experienced in business incentives, land and building acquisitions and dispositions, and has led numerous successful negotiations at the municipal, state, and federal levels. Prior to co-founding Galactic Hospitality Group, Patrick led his primary development platform, DCS Alabama Development, LLC, and was the driving force behind the highly successful EDS America Development, LLC and EDS America, LLC. Under his leadership, these organizations delivered multiple landmark projects, several of which were recognized as “Deals of the Year” by the Birmingham Business Journal. Patrick’s ability to identify opportunities, execute complex developments, and deliver measurable results has consistently positioned him as a leader in the industry.

Earlier in his career, Patrick held senior leadership roles at globally recognized real estate firms, including serving as Senior Vice President at Avison Young (2013–2015) and as Managing Principal of Cresa Birmingham (2002–2013), where he further honed his expertise in tenant representation, advisory services, and strategic real estate planning.

Principal

Kishor “Kish” Desai is a highly experienced hospitality executive and entrepreneur with more than 40 years of expertise in hotel management, development, investment, and asset repositioning. Since relocating to the United States in 1984, Kish has built a distinguished career centered on developing high-performing hospitality assets and delivering long-term value for investors and partners. Kish began his U.S. career in Orlando, Florida, as a hotel manager before transitioning into ownership. He acquired a closed hotel property in Montgomery, Alabama, successfully led its renovation and repositioning, and operated it as a thriving hotel for eight years before selling. This early achievement established his proven ability to identify opportunity, execute turnarounds, and maximize asset value.

Throughout his career, Kish has been actively involved in both ground-up hotel developments and the acquisition of distressed properties, transforming underperforming assets into profitable operations and strategically exiting through successful sales. His experience spans the full lifecycle of hospitality investments—from site selection and development to operational management and disposition. Kish holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Wolverhampton, England.

Born in Birmingham, England, he has been married to his wife Smita since 1983. Together they have three children: Manisha, Sanjay, and Vishaal.

Outside of his professional work, Kish enjoys sports and international travel. He is also deeply committed to the promotion and preservation of Vedic culture, with a particular focus on mentoring and guiding Asian Indian youth.

David Burroughs

Principal

David Burroughs is a seasoned entrepreneur, technology strategist, and business leader with more than two decades of experience building, scaling, and advising organizations across technology, real estate, and operations. As a Principal of Galactic Hospitality Group, LLC, David brings a unique blend of technical expertise, operational leadership, and strategic vision to complex development and investment initiatives. David began his professional career serving in the United States Army, where he was stationed at Fort Wainwright as part of the Arctic Light Infantry. During his military service, he developed the discipline, leadership, and team-oriented mindset that continue to shape his approach to business and partnerships.

He later served as IT Director for the Visiting Nurse Association, where he successfully led the organization through the critical Year 2000 problem (Y2K) transition. This role highlighted his early ability to manage mission-critical systems and mitigate organizational risk in high-stakes environments. Following this, David became a partner at Alternetics, Inc., a technology consulting firm specializing in CRM systems, sales team management, and marketing solutions. Building on this experience, he founded Btech, Inc. in 2003. Under his leadership, Btech has grown into a comprehensive technology services firm supporting more than 250 organizations across the United States and internationally.

The company delivers IT support, cybersecurity, compliance, communications infrastructure, marketing, web development, and AI-driven strategic solutions to a diverse client base, including financial institutions, manufacturers, law firms, healthcare organizations, municipalities, and public safety agencies. Through Btech, David has led the design and deployment of complex enterprise and public infrastructure systems, including the IT systems and network architecture for Regions Field. Opened in 2013, this state-of-the-art ballpark has been widely recognized as a catalyst for economic growth and revitalization within Birmingham’s Parkside District.

David is also the founder of Beyond Boundaries, a South Africa-based subsidiary of Btech, Inc., which extends the company’s global service capabilities and supports scalable delivery across multiple regions. He maintains an active role in its ongoing growth and frequently travels internationally to oversee operations and identify new opportunities.

In addition, David previously served as a Principal of Ameritek IT Services, where he advised on security, compliance, artificial intelligence, and IT strategy through the successful sale of Ameritek Document Solutions in 2024.

David has maintained a long-standing partnership with DCS Alabama Development, LLC, EDS America Development, LLC, and EDS America, LLC, providing regional technology consulting and support for more than 25 years. Through Btech, he continues to support both existing operations and new development projects, contributing to initiatives spanning pre-construction planning through post-construction implementation.

Beyond his technology and advisory work, David is actively involved in real estate investment, with holdings in both coastal and interior regions of Brazil. Those who work with David often note his ability to identify opportunities, solves problems, and execute with precision.
